Co-Op Mutation #232: Enter the Nexus Posted: 28 Sep 2020 06:21 AM PDT Moebius has deployed powerful clones in defense of its battle station. As if that weren't enough, the winter snows have descended, which makes navigating the thick blizzards a hazardous endeavor. Make good use of your time to neutralize the battlestation. Serral vs Maru is finally happening!!!!! Posted: 28 Sep 2020 02:28 PM PDT King of Battles Group A. Literally the first game of the main event. I can't actually believe it's happening. I don't even care that's it's online, cross server, or that Maru is going to get bopped (jinx?). It's really actually happening guys :') [link] [comments]

Didn't see a StarCraft Lore Iceberg. So we made one. Posted: 28 Sep 2020 06:09 PM PDT Me and my friend u/thekamekone made a meme/theory/lore iceberg for StarCraft since we hadn't seen one yet. The order of going down is based on how well known and/or how much evidence we have about it. This includes things from the older versions of the games, deleted lore, removed features, obscure mechanics, and just some dumb stuff that we thought to add on. Most of the items featured in it are from SC1 and Broodwar since that is what we knew best. I would like to hear what other stuff people might add to it if we ever make an updated version. We have a google doc as well with a small explanation about each piece. Check my comment for the link. [link] [comments]

The design accents and environment of the DeathAura map are better than most Posted: 28 Sep 2020 10:05 AM PDT Hiya, i don't play SC, but my partner does, A LOT, so it's on at least one screen in my house every day, pretty much all day. Just wanna give a shoutout to the people who designed this recent map, DeathAura, cuz it's nice to look at for laypeople like me. It's actually quite lovely, with the little plants and amethyst-type crystals. Great place to have a battle. That is all. [link] [comments]

There's no better time to revive the StarCraft universe with a TV show or movie Posted: 29 Sep 2020 01:47 AM PDT Science fiction has been making a comeback lately with Dune, Mandalorian, Expanse and whatnot. I think StarCraft is a very cool universe and I can see a movie or show about it getting a lot of traction even in mainstream audiences, it's very simple to understand, it's just: exiled humans reach a new sector, establish a government and then go to war with hostile aliens. What is it that people wouldn't like about it? I think Blizzard might be missing on a huge opportunity by not using the SC universe. [link] [comments]

Introducing to Reddit StarCraft Spaghetti and the StarCraft Community League (SCL) Posted: 28 Sep 2020 08:54 AM PDT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xobnF3cZjU4 StarCraft Spaghetti (formerly known as Obsidian Team) is a SC2 Club that has organized in the last year a structured competitive circuit for the Italian scene that has received attention from more than 100 players of all levels and boasted 20+ tournaments. We managed to to provide coverage for every single tournament, with at least 2 live streams per week and a small prize pool (skins, war chests, money) for the winners. Our aim was to bring new life into our national scene and it was working very well before the outbreak of the pandemic, which affected our lives heavily and forced us to stop our activities for a few months. Despite everything, our goal is still to extend the SCL to the entire European amateur scene in 2020 and we will stride to meet our goals. So, let us introduce you to the new, revamped and international StarCraft Community League! WHAT IS THE STARCRAFT COMMUNITY LEAGUE (SCL)?The StarCraft Community League is a new amateur circuit that aims to offer a new way for all amateur players to enjoy the competitive side of our beloved esport. Our initiative differs from other well-known online leagues because it is thought for lower rated players rather than the semi-pros who usually compete in those tournaments. More precisely, we would like to offer the possibility to partecipate with an adequate level of challenge to all players with ratings (MMR) between 3300 and 4499. The qualification phase of the tournament is organized in a new format that allows you to compete at any time and rewards your commitment. The finals will be casted by some of Sc2's most highly regarded professional casters, and last but not least, there will be a sweet € 100 prize pool for the winner. The first SCL tournament will start next week (7th October 2020 -28th October 2020). The Finals will be casted by WardiTV on the 30th of october !! Registration will be open for this whole week, feel free to invite all your friends, let's do some amazing StarCraft2 !!CAN I PARTECIPATE ?To partecipate you only need to fill this survey. https://forms.gle/kcBA1HUGh57pbmfp9 You will find all the infos required to start the tournament smoothly with the right foot. Please ensure to meet the tournament requirements before to submit your partecipation ! WHY IS THE SCL GOOD FOR SC2 ?Starcraft 2 has always stood out, between all competitive eSports, for the steep learning curve and the great investment of time required to master the multiple skills that are necessary to excel in the 1v1 experience. Our project was born from the need to create a stimulating competitive environment, aims to help new players to deal with the initial difficulties but it also offers a strong source of motivation for amataur players to stick to the game, get passionate and support it in the long run. WHAT CAN I DO TO SUPPORT THE SCL ?Joining the tournament and sharing this post inside your clan is the best possible way to show us your support ! We are looking for replay casters !! If you are a streamer and are looking for some content for your twitch channel just PM us !If you want to support this project and the amateur community of SC2, just follow us on our social pages and watch some games of our broadcasts. You can find us on https://www.facebook.com/starcraftcommunityleague/ https://www.twitch.tv/starcraftcommunityleague https://www.instagram.com/starcraftcommunityleague/ If you would like to contribute economically, don't waste any money on our matcherino and instead please consider reading the following thread about one of our SC community brothers' struggle, posted by PiG some weeks ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/i4e2u8/pig_here_with_a_story_about_one_of_our_sc/ Cheers.
