    With the drone model mostly done.

    Hello, new to starcraft

    I started less than a month ago and I've been playing a lot of Zergs. Then I tried Protoss and found out that Protoss has a hotkey for Warp Gates (W by default?).

    So, my question is, is there a default hot key for selecting all larvae (without going through the hatchery first)?

    If not, is there a way to set it?

    If not, is there a reason (advantage?) why I must select the hatchery first?

    Will delete this post if this question already exists.

    Good videos to explain important Starcraft Metagame?

    I'm looking for videos to help show me how to do things like stutter step, or what hockey's I should use to help be more efficient when playing the game.

    I'm currently Silver 1 and my APM is in the 60s. In short, I'm trash, and trying to learn some of the metagame things to help me get better in addition to building my macro skills.

    Ariel Hanson's Cure

    With the lockdown, I've started playing Starcraft 2 again, specifically the campaign.

    Now, Ariel Hanson was implied to have cured the Zerg infestation based on the victory quotation after Safe Haven:

    The Protoss terror fleets have been driven off, and the infestation has been cured. Dr. Hanson and the colonists are now free to start their new lives on Haven.

    It's not clear if this "cure" is just them purging the infested from the planet or if Hanson did manage to find an actual cure, but for this post, I'm going to assume the latter.

    Now, previously I thought the cure would be some type of vaccine since Hanson has a bio-engineering background, and indeed, this is was her failed cure in Haven's Fall.

    However, Raynor's conversations with her on the artifact imply that she's also knowledgeable on alien archaeology. She's aware and has theorized that the artifact can be used to de-infest Kerrigan, though she never saw it in action, having left the crew before they went to Char.

    This got me thinking: What if her working cure for the Zerg virus is related to the artifact somehow, possibly by replicating whatever it is that the artifact does? Her vaccine failed in Haven's Fall, so she had to have found something else that worked.

    On another note: It's strange that she wasn't on the research station at the start of Heart of the Swarm, since aside from Narud and possibly Valerian she's probably the most knowledgeable person in the galaxy regarding the artifact and its effects on living creatures.
