Warchest Team League was THE BEST Tournament I've watched. Please do more! Posted: 16 Aug 2020 10:45 AM PDT The hype, the rivalry, the banter, the drama, the absolute nail biting intense tie breaker that happens wayy too often were some of the most beautiful sports I've seen. Please make more tournaments like this. I felt so proud having falling in love with the entire sc2 scene. [link] [comments]

Watchest team league appreciation Posted: 16 Aug 2020 12:53 PM PDT Watchest team league was a pretty fresh concept, I don't think anyone really knew how to feel about it at first. Looking back, I think it was a huge success. I figured I should take a moment and list everything that was awesome. - Team tournament is something that has been missing in our community for a while, and it really helps scratch an itch that hasn't been scratched in a while. - Commentators making the teams makes the commentary more engaging. Normally casters do their best to be unbiased while casting, but having a voice cheer for successes and sigh at the failures is pretty fresh, and something we get more of in the future. - Although the prize pool was massive, the prize was not super top heavy ensuring that all the players get some funding to sustain themselves, not just the absolute best. - Team logos are shown next to the players name to make sure the actual teams get some recognition as well. Did I miss anything else? Over all I really enjoyed the tournament. [link] [comments]

New player: I cannot deal with Terran's bunkers. Posted: 16 Aug 2020 09:28 PM PDT I play as Zerg and I usually max out around 9 minutes. Every time I'm up against Terran, I lose. I've tried building mass Hydras and just overwhelming them (I use my queens an ungodly amount, so I can remax almost instantly after they die), but they get completely obliterated by whatever explosives, gigantic units, etc. that Terran has. It seems like if they just sit in their base, I can't actually end the game. I've tried branching out and making Mass Broods, but this is insanely risky because there's not enough gas in the entire map to sustain multiple waves of Broods. But they're ridiculously slow and if they get caught by a horde of ranged units, they just die, which wasted an enormous amount of resources. If the game gets to 20 minutes, I just can't figure out how to win. I'm sure there's a way, but I just cannot do it. Any advice? [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Aug 2020 09:02 PM PDT In HotS/WoL I used to see manner mules being thrown out almost every game. Now I never see it. Did blizzard/kespa ban players from doing it or something? [link] [comments]

Why the hell in 2020 does SC2 NOT have a rejoin feature? Posted: 17 Aug 2020 01:39 AM PDT rage incoming My game straight went belly up and crashed to desktop for no reason, and screwed my co-op partner over, it's something we've been forced to put up with for literally decades at this point in both SC1 and 2 (other games in the same era have had this feature such as Age of Empires) How in the 9 hells does SC2 not have this feature yet? Both for Versus and Co-op. Player loses connection, or crashes, and you can have AI take over for them until the player can rejoin and continue on with the game. Players who abuse this system can be penalized, there are multitudes of games that use this function and punish for abusive players. Such as DOTA 2, League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, hell I think even HOTS has this function as well! /rage [link] [comments]
Starcraft - Remastered LAN issues Posted: 17 Aug 2020 12:53 AM PDT My family (my wife and kids) have been playing SC for years now. We use to just have the old CD-rom disc. Recently, we upgraded to the Starcraft-Remastered edition. We've recently moved to the country where only satellite internet is a reality and it took us forever to download the game on 3 pcs through the Blizzard client. A few nights we enjoyed a pretty solid uninterrupted 3hr long game. One of our other sons is coming to visit soon and we wanted to set up Starcraft-Remastered on a brand new computer for him. Thing is, no we got all the games installed on 4 different machines. But we can't see each others games in the Local Area Connection list. One of the older machines that was able to join a few nights ago now doesn't see any games. And the new computeer we just bought over the weekend can create a game but no other machine can see it. Then, earlier this evening, while fussing with it all, the one PC that seems to be the most reliable, created a game but then after a couple minutes threw back a "Failed to advertise game" error. It seems random and chaotic whenever the LAN functionality of the games wants to work or not. Would it be better to just hardwire all the machines with ethernet cables? Is it even possible to ethernet link 4 machines for a Starcraft-Remastered gameplay? [link] [comments]
