TSL6 is due to start in less than 24 hours and there appears to be no public bracket for the event. Posted: 04 Dec 2020 09:37 AM PST liquipedia link: https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/TeamLiquid_StarLeague/6 Players should know the bracket at this point so they can prepare for their matches (and if the player do know the brackets then it should be publicly available as well.) This isn't just about helping players either, people seeing the brackets and talking and speculating about them also generates hype and advertisement for your tournament. [link] [comments]

How to display double proxy racks on a T-shirt? Posted: 04 Dec 2020 01:23 AM PST I paint T-shirt by hand mostly using templates of logos or signs as templates and my boyfriend expressed the wish for a t-shirt showing a double proxy Racks (by far his favorite build). Now I would like to ask if anyone has some ideas how I could design this, so that you can easily recognize it as dpr?? [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Dec 2020 10:34 PM PST This player has no shame, doesn't scout me the whole game, finds my units in fog of war and has an army that counters mine with no information except for when they looks at my base in fog to see what tech I have. I sent a probe out to the middle because i was getting suspicious in game, and whaddya know they found it. [link] [comments]

Starcraft 2 Players are sooooo nice Posted: 03 Dec 2020 04:22 PM PST So I recently got into playing Starcraft 2 ranked after not playing since I got the game in 2015, when I pretty much did campaign and maybe an unranked match or two. One of my matches I was playing zerg and my opponent was protoss. (For reference the mmr of both of us was around gold somewhere) It was not going well for me and long story short I was destroyed. But after the match, (and here's the amazing part) my opponent sends me a friend request and then offers to teach me ZvP as well as some zerg build orders! (I had no clue what those were a few minutes ago lol). The sheer amount of niceness I've seen from playing ranked and browsing this subreddit is INSANE. Of every game I've had, not a single one has been with a toxic opponent, and most of them start with a good luck have fun or something along those lines. Seriously you all need to give yourselves a pat on the back. So many other game communities seem to be full of toxic players and matches so starcraft is a breath of fresh air for sure. Alright that's the end of my rant/thank you letter to everyone I've met so far [link] [comments]

Cheesed in placement matches, now horrifically outmatched. How to get good? Posted: 04 Dec 2020 12:50 AM PST Eight years ago I used to play Starcraft 2. WoL was a different time, and I mained Protoss. Every single game was a cheesy cannon rush to the max, and if that didn't work, mass void rays were next. And it worked pretty consistently, grinding my fourteen year old self all the way up to high Gold. Then I quit because cannon rushes stopped working so well as people wised up to the fact that yes, letting a probe sit in your main building cannons without pulling workers is not a great idea. Earlier this year with the COVID pandemic in progress and my country in lockdown, I eventually came across a Starcraft 2 shitpost (found here) that inspired me to check out the game a little more. After a few days I was enthralled in the pro game replays on youtube commentated by Tastosis or Lowko, and eventually a few months ago bit the bullet and redownloaded. Now, I've stayed far away from Ranked games for the past few months, but I had a lot of fun rerunning the campaigns and then doing a bit of Co-op. But after watching people like TY, SoS, Parting, etc for 6 months, I figured I could screw around and place in low silver just so I could experience playing classic SC2 instead of playing Desert Strike in custom games for the 30th time. And boy, was it a disaster. In Game 1 I floated ~6000 minerals and ~2300 gas for most of the time. My opponent was friendly and let me practice macro/micro and let me throw my marine army against his maxed out high tech army. Game 2 was slightly better, with me resolving to not float any minerals by building more production and snagging a win by sending a horde of marines/marauder/tank across the map repeatedly. However, at game 3, I discovered cheese. I remembered a game I watched where TY proxied a concussive shell rax and utterly wiped the floor of a protoss player. I figured, hey, why not look up the build order, and... lo and behold, I won the next two of three games! The problem is that I placed in Plat 1. With a total of 5 games against an actual player. I still have no idea what I'm doing. Even the concussive shell rush is sloppy, with it sometimes finishing at 2:40 and other times finishing at 3:30. In the fourth game (which I lost), I whelped my whole army into some beautifully micro'd stalkers and had no counterplay after the fact. I ended up with a weird BC/Marine army against an army of Collosi/Archon/Stalker. Again I was floating insane amounts of resources, again I was forgetting to produce workers, again I had forgotten to get a second Engineering Bay so that I wasn't alternating upgrades for my marines, and again I was supply blocking myself. The next few games in Plat 1 have proven very punishing and yet my rank doesn't seem to be decreasing quickly at all. Instead of waiting for my ELO to drop, how can I get better at SC2? Specific questions are:
Any other advice is appreciated. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Why are widow mines invisible in the first place? Posted: 04 Dec 2020 08:00 AM PST Their splash is already strong enough to delete both workers and basic units. Even if they were visible, they would still be super powerful since they can delete lingbane, chargelots and entire mineral lines. The invisibility is just very silly. Terran just plants them and forgets. A 75/25 unit is causing so much stress because there might be an offchance where my entire army gets deleted from invisibility. If that seems fair, then please make disruptors invisible as well. At least disruptors are locked behind a robo bay and the purification nova takes a good while to detonate. [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Dec 2020 01:21 AM PST I would love that. Recently tried WC3 reforge in 21:9 and it looks amazing. What you think? [link] [comments] |
