    EPT Standings Update

    As you can see in the below attached Screenshot we now have mathematically secured the Ro24 seeds (all under the assumption Zest and Stats can play of course), including the extra Seed from the Combined Standings that goes (as expected) to the Koreans.

    Ro24 Participants

    For the Ro36 most is determined too. Only a few slots are still (theoretically) open:

    • Lambo can still (theoretically) overtake uThermal by winning all of the remaining ESL Open Cups (in all regions) that still give points.
    • Zoun can still (theoretically) overtake Bunny by accumulating at least 105 points from the remaining ESL Open Cups (120 theoretically possible) and Bunny getting eliminated in the first Round of DHM Last Chance and not earning ESL Open Cup points.
    • Cham can still (theoretically) overtake Kelazhur by accumulating at least 115 points from the remaining ESL Open Cups (120 theoretically possible) and Kelazhur not earning ESL Open Cup points.
    • In the Oceania standings theoretically RiSky, EnDerr and Seither can still overtake Probe, but as none of these players is likely to earn any points from ESL Open Cups and none of them qualified for DHM Last Chance this seed will go to Probe most likely.
    • In the China standings theoretically Jieshi, XY, MacSed and Silky can still overtake Cyan, but again as none of these players is likely to earn any points from ESL Open Cups and none of them qualified for DHM Last Chance this seed will go to Cyan most likely.

    Ro36 Participants

    So after the next set of ESL Open Cups uThermal, Bunny and Kelazhur will (most likely) have mathematically secured their Ro36 seed and there will only be 2 remaining open slots (CN & OC), which are (most likely) gifted to Probe and Cyan.

    [broodwar] Frequently getting harassed as a new player in E/F rank.

    Is there a way to mute in-game chat?

    I'm new to broodwar but interested in learning. I keep losing games to people with new accounts and I'm currently ranked E (slowly trending towards F) and sometimes people are brutal with insults, "u suck", "shit american", etc. I'm not even cheesing, just trying to play a standard zerg style.

    It's really tempting to respond and explain that I'm new and trying to learn the game, but it seems to just invite more shit talking. To be honest, I kind of expected a more inviting crowd compared to newer titles.

    Hi! I watch a lot of Starcraft, I'm not a really good player, but to me everything seems kind of fair lately? We got the best players usually winning or getting to the finals, but sometimes even goats get booped, we got great race distribution up until the finals, we get long and crazy games and short and messy games?
    Were they right not to touch anything in the last few months?
    Where do we go from here? You'd call it a day and fix the last few things with map making, or would you risk this state of the game to fix something?

    I'd love to have Broods or Ultras good, and I feel that Protoss early to midgame is a bit too gimmicky, but the game is good now! No?

    Loved Zerg: Similar games where you play as non human organic race?

    Play as the zerg watching my creep and army spread across the map as they evolve and consume

    There something I just really enjoy about growing as a non-human organic alien fleshy race as a empire/ army building , spreading ,evolving particularly if it involves consuming your enemies

    I really enjoy playing as the Shaken ratmen clan moulder with their monstrous beasts in total war 2 warhammer and spread corruption

    playing as the aliens in aliens vs predators extinction RTS

    Recently finished the building my ant empire in Empires of the undergrowth

    It does not have to be an RTS, I quiet enjoyed the Alien lifecycle for AVP FPS games

    A warchest question

    Hey guys.

    There is a zerg banner and serral portrait I really want in sc2.
    However in the game it says they can be acquired if you purchase the blizzcon 2018 warchest.As far as I know the simulant skins for zerg came with that warchest back then.

    So my question is If i buy this skin pack will it count as warchest purchase so I can unlock that banner or will it basically give me just the skins and nothing else? If not I guess there is no way for me to get want I want and I would have to wait so they can put that on sale.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    How to create a second account on Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void in 2020

    Hi there,

    Just wondering what the steps are to create a second account on Starcraft 2. I've seen other players whose games are casted use multiple accounts, but I can't see any obvious way of doing it except to have a separate computer with a separate download?

    I only started playing SC2 after it was free to play, so I don't see this having anything to do with purchasing a second license as some older posts on this topic discuss.

    Holy crap that was entertaining. Enthralling.
    I used to just spam cheats and rush with hordes of Ultralisks when I was a kid and didn't even know of PVP due to no internet connection.
    The professional commentators really helped me understand the plays being made, the strategy, the mental war, resource management.
    Jeez that was good.

    "Help a noob" thread isn't showing anymore so tell me if this isn't the proper way to ask questions.

    Diamond terran player here, more on the casual side though. I like to understand how to play macro-wise in order to win games and I'm not the best micro-oriented player out there. I am at a loss when I'm playing a Zerg who masses banelings.

    What is the best way to counter other than splitting marines like Maru does, as I am incapable of doing so.

    I've tried mass Hellbats, mix of marines/marauders/tanks... fights are not even remotely close. I get anhilated while he loses around 30-40% of his banelings.

    Any clue of what I'm supposed to do?

    The only answer might be "you have to split", which I will accept. I just want to know if there is something else I can do (more oriented on units composition) to stand a chance.

    EDIT: thanks for all the feedback!! what I understand is:

    • pre-split before the fight
    • put marauders in front and marines in back
