    So I picked up starcraft a few months ago. It seemed like the kind of game I would love. I really enjoy strategy, and the 1v1 aspect of it immediately appealed to me. Basically, in theory, it should be my favorite game. And it captured my complete attention for a couple months. But the thing is, for every minute I spent in the game, I spent 4 theorizing about it. I would spend an hour and change talking in the starcraft discord and researching strategies, but I wouldn't play one game. Or I would play just one, then go play tf2. The strategies and theorizing was really, fun, but the actual gameplay was lacking and not the most fun. A lot of this is because my player skill just wasn't mechanically good enough to do everything I wanted to do. (Silver 3 Zerg) I really want to enjoy starcraft. In other words, it was this meme unironically. Back to my question, is this like a thing that people experience? Is this normal? I really want to like it, so will it get better if I just keep playing? Thanks for reading this stupid post, and have a good day.

    I remember an old pro starcraft 2 clip where there was a terran player with like 15 barracks outside his opponents base just rallying marines in to get the win, but I don't remember where it is. I think it was wings of liberty era, does anyone remember this pro sc2 moment?

    I remember using it years ago and it never gave any problems. Just tried it again to play a LAN game with my wife, but whenever I try log in, in game it gives me the username option but not the password option on one or both of our PCs. Does anyone know what the problem is or how I can get around it?

    Hi, I'm conducting a study on the experience of toxicity (insults, intentional feeding, grieving, trolling, etc.) in diverse competitive online games - one of them being StarCraft2.

    I'm wondering whether you experienced any change in the level of toxicity since the COVID-19 pandemic. I would really appreciate your input! The survey is short, taking max. 5 minutes to complete. This is also the secound Iteration of this survey so don´t participate if you have already. Background: The study is led by Dr. Katharina Emmerich, a post-doc researcher at the University of Duisburg (in Germany) and her research focus is on digital games (yeah, turned the hobby into a profession ;) ). The data collected in the survey will be used to write an academic paper about player behavior in online games (no commercial use!). Link to the survey:
