I don't care if you don't like TvT. I don't care if if the VOD looks too long. I don't care if you are busy this week.

If you have at least 10 brain cells in your skull that love SC2, you MUST watch this game. It's dramatic, it's compelling, it's some of the highest level Starcraft 2 ever played. It's so many styles, skill sets, and scenarios on display.

It's every instrument in the orchestra joining in for the symphony. It's the the beautiful game. It's a stunning display of how far 2 human minds can push each other.

And we all want to talk about it spoiler free. So please watch it :)

I made a script to read out build orders for you. Let me know of any feedback!

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 02:02 PM PST

    https://github.com/eliothxchan/sc2-audio-build-order-reader

Just a script right now and not a full-fledged application. I've been getting back into the game over the past few months and I've found it difficult to remember what I'm supposed to be doing when I'm practicing my build orders, so I wrote a script that I can give a SpawningTool build order to and have it just read it out while I play so I don't have to look back and forth.

Would love to hear any feedback. I'm on macOS and I don't have any other machines so I have no idea if it works on any other platform (it might not), but let me know! I also added a fun feature for saying the shorthand names of things instead of the full name (eg. you can make it say "blue flame" instead of "infernal pre-igniter").

I've already listed a couple of issues under the Issues tab that I want to look at eventually, feel free to create more if you have a GitHub account.

    Hope this helps someone!

Edit: After playing a couple of games with it, I've added an extra delay parameter that lets you delay lines (or start them sooner). I found that setting the delay to -3 seconds while also starting at the countdown gave me ample time for the lines to be reminders rather than "oh shit this should've been built I gotta rush to catch up to it".

I'm also actually really impressed as to how much of a difference this makes. I've been trying to get that 3-pronged TvP build that uThermal did a video on half a year ago and I would consistently hit the timing at like 6:30 or so, but on my 2nd try with this I got it at 5:45 (even if it wasn't with the right number of units). Please try it out!

Has anyone received updates on the battlecruiser replica from the EU blizzard gear store?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2020 01:59 AM PST

Since customer service told me that there was a delay, but I haven't gotten any updates and cannot access my order history, I was wondering if anyone else ordered the metallic variant of the mini battlecruiser replica in May/June this year.

Have you received any updates on it? Is there a new estimated delivery time in the order history?

Mandela Effect and Starcraft Remastered SCVs

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 02:51 PM PST

I played a lot of the original Starcraft back in the day. I haven't played in many years, and recently picked up Starcraft Remastered.

I swear that SCVs in Starcraft classic could auto-repair like they can in SC2, using the same commands: right-click the repair icon or use alt-r. This doesn't work. I've spent an hour or so on google trying to find any reference to auto-repairing SCVs, to no avail. Have I lost it? Am I victim to the Mandela Effect, and classic SCVs need to be commanded to perform each repair? Or was that feature lost in the change from classic to remastered?

    Non-projectile kill priority

    Posted: 02 Nov 2020 04:24 PM PST

So I'm a zerg main and play protoss for cheese, and I've been trying to figure out how the game decides which non-projectile unit dies first.

So for example, if you make 2 of your own tempests kill each other, both will die, because damage is dealt some time after the attack is made.

But, if I try to kill a probe with a probe, or anything like that involving things that do their damage at the same time as their attack, only one dies. I got bored earlier and tried testing it after a practice match, and thought I was onto something (unit that gets commanded last wins, happened 3 times), but when I had the ultras fight each other in a different spot, the first one to be commanded won (twice).

Is this random or is there some more complicated algorithm that figures it out?

I've recently started watching ASL but am still pretty unfamiliar with BW. With an upcoming ZvZ final, I was hoping to watch some old ZvZ games that feature units other than lings and mutas. Do they exist?
