    Stetmann made more than just harvesting bots. However, there were errors in the code and now the boom bots and kill bots are headed to destroy the harvesting bots. Both are invulnerable, but each one is defused differently. Stay cool under pressure to save the bots from the bots.

    Boom Bots
    Uncaring automatons carry a nuclear payload toward your base. One player must discern the disarming sequence and the other player must enter it.
    Kill Bots
    Invincible Kill Bots attack your forces until they hit their predetermined kill limit and shut down.

    Notes:

    • Boom bots are untargetable units that walk toward the players, and detonate a nuke upon contact. They will survive the blast and keep walking until they are defused.
    • Each boom bot has a [4-digit code] that only one player can see. However, it is only the other player who can enter this code [through the command card or by using number keys], to defuse the boom bot.
    • The boom bots are [visible from the minimap], and spawn from enemy structures.
    • The terrazine harvesters do not spawn boom bots or kill bots.
    • The [Kill Bots] spawn from any enemy building. Clearing the whole map will stop the Bot spawns.
    • The Kill Bots originally appeared in "Violent Night" as Amon's gift.
    • The more expensive each of your units are, the worse deal you get. If you are Nova or Tychus, for example, it might be worthwhile to produce spare SCVs to feed the bots, if your ally is unable to help.
    • Free units, such as Stukov's Infested, Zerglings in general, and Stetmann's Roaches Away are the most cost-effective solution to feed the Kill Bots.
    • Destroying all buildings will stop both kill bots and boom bots from spawning. The bonus objectives do not spawn boom bots or kill bots.

    This is the Rising Stars StarCraft II League Open Tournament happening next Saturday, September 5. Below is the challonge link to sign up and the rules. You must be on the Rising Stars discord and also sign up in the channel dedicated to the open tournament. Cheers!

    Cheat your way to 500,000 in Lost Viking!

    For all you achievement hunters out there struggling with Lost Viking, here's a little guide on how to get 500,000 fairly easily. It essentially boils down to setting up an automated spam for your space bar with "X-Mouse Button Control" and playing the upgrades in the game right.

    I've been struggling with this achievement for the last week or so and finally decided to take the time and set up this little trick with my mouse. After giving it a shot for the first time about 30 minutes ago I scored 805,300! My highest score prior to that was 155,400 just for context. If you're still reading this here's my list of tips and tricks...

    1. Automated Space Bar

    Holding the space bar in Lost Viking provides a fairly slow repeated shot, likely due to how fast your keyboard repeats when keys are held. This limiting factor makes spamming the space bar as fast as possible a much more effective means of attacking. However, after a few minutes of this it can become very hard to keep it up, not to mention it's very distracting to do while dodging enemies and attacks. Hence, the goal here is to automate this rapid fire so a button can simply be held and provide maximum firepower while your full attention is on dodging.

    To do this download X-Mouse Button Control. This free little program allows you to set the keys of your mouse to other buttons when pressed. For this to work best you'll need a mouse with at least 1 extra button, preferably 2. Use X-Mouse to set your extra mouse button to {SPACE}, change the option to "repeat when held" and change the delay from 0 to 1 millisecond. If you keep it on 0 the program defaults to your computers repeat rate which will be slower (even though this seems like it would be faster). If you have another button to spare I would set it to CTRL so you can trigger your bombs more easily. With this set up you're good to go!

    (PSA: don't set your left click to anything. If you do, you will no longer be able to click on anything on your computer unless you Ctrl+Alt+Del and shut down X-Mouse in Task Manager)

    Now when you go play simply hold down the mouse button that spams SPACE and you can focus all your attention on dodging. This alone will drastically increase your score but there's a few more tips to fully maximize this automation.

    NOTE: X-Mouse is one way to accomplish this with a mouse. Any program you can find that will allow you to hold a mouse or keyboard button to constantly spam the SPACE bar will work.

    1. You can use WASD to control your Viking.

    This took me way too long to figure out but if you're right handed this is much easier than using the arrow keys.

    1. Upgrades Cycle

    If an upgrade appears don't be too ancy to pick it up. If it's not what you want or need wait and it will cycle through all the upgrades.

    1. Upgrades Max at 2

    I highly recommend getting the side shot upgrade as your first priority and then upgrading it once by picking up another. Do not pick up any Side Shot or Plasma upgrades after this because you will not gain any benefit from them. Plasma can be good for the bosses but with the increased rate of fire the Side Shot will clear the screen much faster and it can be hard to get back to your Lvl 2 Side shot when you need it so I recommend staying on Side Shot the whole time.

    1. Get 2 Drones

    After getting your upgrades prioritize getting 2 Drones. Once again these Max at 2 so don't try picking up a 3rd. The drones are amazing with this cheat. Not only will drones sack hits for you, they will shooting homing missiles at enemies, which means no matter where you are on the screen you will be killing enemies. When the rapid fire combines with 2 Drones and Lvl 2 Side Shot you will be clearing every screen almost instantly until you hit level 7 or 8. This means you're getting tons of points and there's less things to dodge.

    1. Bombs, Bombs, Bombs

    From hear you simply stock up on bombs with every upgrade. If you lose a drone prioritize getting it back but then wait for every upgrade to turn into a bomb. An important thing to note is that bombs provide a few seconds of invincibility. Use this to your advantage and don't waste bombs clearing the screen, use them when you're in a sticky situation to avoid taking the hit. It is better to waste a bomb and keep your drones and upgrades at max.

    Hopefully this helps someone out there who was as frustrated as me. With the increased focus on dodging and the shear firepower this produces I honestly found the game very easy until I hit about level 6 or 7. Feel free to ask questions and good luck!

    I guess this question could be asked about any creature in the Swarm, but Dehaka specifically eats things for a living, yet he never makes any mention of going to the bathroom at any point.

    Is Dehaka's digestive system just so powerful and efficient that 100% of whatever he eats turns into essence? You'd think that he would shart out something, like steel plating for example. Surely his body can't use everything that goes into it, right?

    Campaign Research Cheat

    Hi all. Just a long time lover of this franchise. I've been playing the WoL campaign several times now, and now I just want to play for the enjoyment of it. One thing that's been bugging me is the Protoss/Zerg research options. Once you choose one upgrade, the other one got locked out. I tried to look online for a cheat that opens all the research options, but the only one I found - HoradricCube - doesn't even do anything? I know this is an odd topic on a site like this, but if you have a way around this and are willing to help, thank you in advance.
