    Almost certainly a maphacker

    Posted: 25 Aug 2020 03:40 PM PDT

Hi everyone, I've never ever encounterd a maphacker on ladder ever before, but I just read that Reddit post about the Zerg hacker sniping creep tumors. Lo and behold, less than 24 hours later, I play a TvT with almost certainly a maphacker. This guy never scouted a single time and never used a scan for information (already suspicious). Then I watched the replay and he is looking through all my fog of war, through my entire opening build etc. I uploaded the replay if you guys want to take a look at all.

    https://sc2replaystats.com/download/16039135

Feel free to write down any of these times to refer to. It's easy to tell if you just look at his player cam. For reference, I am Bebashis and suspect is Adam.

2:41 - I open proxy BC, he looks at my starport through fog 4:09 - looks at it again 4:55 - looks at my base, again through fog of war\ 16:19 - I try to attack from the front, is looking at the fog again, somehow exactly where my army is moving 19:30 - kill off his CC, then run away with my troops, he manages to find them in the middle of nowhere and kills then 20:53 - I wasn't even suspicious in mid game until this one, where he catches my solitary viking in the middle of nowhere

Judge for yourself, but I feel 99% sure. Worst part is this guy somehow still loses! You can't be losing if you're maphacking, that's gotta be against some sort of cosmic law.

    Trophy system for every season

    Posted: 25 Aug 2020 08:59 AM PDT

    Hello Blizzard, hello Community,

every new warchest brings me back into the game and it's fun to get the skins one by one by working my way through to the end.

Since there is only one warchest per year, this is a rather rare thing.

It would be cool if there was something I could fight for every season. I'm thinking about a trophy that I can earn by playing a comparable amount of games. Maybe a bronze, silver or gold trophy depending on the number of games I win. The trophy could also have an imprint with player data of the respective time getting the trophy or end of season:

    • player name
    • relative rank on the server in %
    • MMR
    • League symbol

And a kind of trophy shelf where I can collect my trophies.

What do you think about it?

    Cheers

    jume

    100% Wol, and hi!

    I just want to share.

So happy o/That last "All in" brutal was really hard.

If the mission was 10s longer I would've lost.

The Hard achievement in "The Dig"(destroy 50 Protoss structures, the mission with the laser drill) was super hard too.

Other than that most brutals were actually easy. I guess doing all the previous achievements (WoL) helped since I did each mission a couple of times and because of that I also did know about "the bests" upgrades and researchs.

Lost vikings was less troublesome than I was expecting.

I played wol campaign back in 2010 and never touched starcraft again(no internet here at that time). But I know starcraft was a cool game and be part of the community should be cool (and a ranked system where I can only blame myself when I lose looks good too).

So 2-3 months ago I decided to play all campaigns (ever since starcraft 1) before going multiplayer. Coop looks nice too, I played just 2 matches before start hunting the achievements and they were really fun.

I also just did the zerg placement matches. I'm in that fun part of the beginning, the one that I'm rly bad, I know I'm rly bad and because of that I don't stress over when I lose but when I win I'm like "wuhul o/"

The only thing that is a little 'boring' is that problem with fps. Lots of units makes fps go blerg of course but neither my cpu (individuals core) or gpu are at 100%, yet fps<30. But my i5 3570 + 1050ti isn't exactly a top-notch setup so I can't rly blame the game, although I don't know why they aren't at 100% (I know that sc2 isn't optimised for multi-core since its a engine is old but I'm talking about cpu0 and cpu1 cores).

Well that's it, I just wanted to get in touch with the community instead of being a 100% lurker haha

    Thanks for reading.

    Now HoTS ! (I guess..)

Is diamond some sort of bronze 2.0 in teamgames?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2020 12:46 PM PDT

So i never really played ranked and recently picked up StarCraft again. I wouldn't consider myself good. I usually play team games and get diamond teammates, but most of them dont even pay attention to their armies. Like they sit on 1-2 bases and only build marines, but never move them. If i ask them to help me defend our base for example they start moving after like 30 seconds and go for the enemy base instead of defending with me.

If I have two templar, one on ctrl 1 and one on ctrl 2, and then combine them into an archon, will the archon be one group 1, group 2, both, or neither?

How many terran marines does it take to pin down a protoss zealot in a grappling match?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2020 12:29 PM PDT

No weapons and no striking allowed. It's a friendly wrestling match, and all combatants start on their feet. Assume that the protoss doesn't have their shields up and/or psionic shields don't get in the way of grappling.

    Round 1: They're all naked.

Round 2: The terrans have their CMC power armor.

Round 3: The protoss is a Fenix-tier templar warrior.
