Sitting here in Austria with refunded bustickets and refunded IEM tickets... GO SERRAL!

    Posted: 27 Feb 2020 03:26 PM PST

To all those who have travelled to Katowice for IEM event.

    Posted: 27 Feb 2020 12:59 PM PST

I hope mods will understand the situation and allow this post even though it's not directly connected to Starcraft.

A citizen of Katowice here, and I'm really sorry about the decision of our governors. It's understandable, yet it still sucks. Either way I want to help you save the trip! Here is my advice what you can do in your spare time:

First and foremost: your ticket for the IEM itself will be refunded. While it still not solves the problem of travel and accommodation... It's something?

    1. First of all a lot of pubs and bars will actually be broadcasting the gameplays of IEM, so you might still be able to see the most important stuff. And you can grab great Polish or Czech beer! A blessing in disguise? The most famous bars are located on and near Mariacka Street in the city center.

    2. In your spare time you can see the beautiful and underrated sites of Silesia region. Most notably: Nikiszowiec District of Katowice is like a town of itself - red brick houses look really beautiful. Then there is city if Gliwice, which has a great market and quite a few romantic streets. Silesia museum also offers A LOT to see, if you want to see everything in it, you will spend almost half a day. And you can still travel to Cracow by bus or train - one of the most stunning central European cities by far.

    3. Taste some Polish quisine. Nobody has to be introduced to pierogi, right? Most famous Polish dumplings filled with anything you could imagine. They are served pretty much everywhere, but my favourite place is Pierogi Świata. Less famous Polish dishes - Żurek soup, soup like no other, you just have to taste it on your own, in the "traditional" restaurants it can be served in a loaf of bread. There are also Bigos, Rolady Śląskie z kluskami or we fot even our own "pizza thing" called Zapiekanka. Check those out on Google images, I'm sure you will find something you like.

    4. You can always go the party in clubs like Energy 2000, Kapitol or Pomarańcza. You will see how Polish party XDD

And in the evening I personally can show you around the city and invite you for a beer. I hope you will still have a great time here. Good luck people ❤️

    Innovation's Mysterious Smile Face, Why?

    Posted: 27 Feb 2020 11:01 PM PST

When Korean pro lose the game KR players(loser): fuck....ha.... KR player (winner): Yuss...but I shouldnt smile because the loser player may feel bad

This happened even long time ago during Brood War time When Slayers_Boxer lost at the finals He cried and the champion, who was actually in his team and also younger, couldn't show his joy because of that Koreans dont really criticize if you smile and go crazy because you won the championship title But they also do give high respect to winners who tried not to show smile when they won Which is why Innovation tries to not smile and u can all see that at IEM few days ago.

I don't if many knows about this kind of thing about Korean players or not. And ofc some western pro pkayers also dont show much excitement as to show respect.

But I did see some people wondering, "Is Inno smiling or not lol and why is he doing that" So I just wanted to give a little info for those people who dont know why.

But in Korean community, we all agreed that Inno is lacking in hiding his smiles compared to the past and we all laughed at shy Inno trying his best to cover his smile.

I hope knowing this would help you guys enjoy watching Inno's facial expression at todays IEM.

    Not related but, KR community gave high respect for the Clem coming to Hurricane for a hand shake though his lost. Something that Koreans won't really do Western people really do make great sports manner and we respect that Thanks for reading and...umm...I hope I don't at least get dislikes for writing these...haha...;;

Congratulations to players advancing from Katowice group B!

    Posted: 27 Feb 2020 12:13 PM PST

Rogue(1st place), Zest and Showtime advance while Reynor, soO and Armani are eliminated.

Earlier today in his interview Reynor had bragged he would be the korean zerg slayer today. He did manage to 2-0 Armani but then lost 0-2 to both soO and Rogue.

soO had a really rough start losing 2-1 to Armani and 2-0 to both Zest and Rogue.

Zest looked really solid in all of his games.

Showtime had a rough start with his PvZs against Reynor and Rogue. But he cameback by taking out armani and then beating Zest in a very close PvP followed by decisive win over soO. Basically Showtime was the mirror image of reynor today, he lost his early matches but managed to pull it together while reynor dominated by winning his first 5 maps and then losing the last 6 in a row.

I don't want ZEN in the next season's map pool. It's probably the most vetoed map on ladder and so far the least played at IEM Katowice(Maps Statistics). Can we get a quick map pool edit from blizzard?

    Posted: 27 Feb 2020 12:39 PM PST

As wast the case with the previous two days, once again, some of us were unlucky enough to miss parts or all of the Starcraft played today. Let us, for a third time, assist each other and share recommendations for the bits that were most worthwhile today.
