Posted: 09 Feb 2020 03:46 PM PST That's the post. I am playing the first game right now and wow this shit is incredible. Ive never played an rts so its definitely a rough start, but the story and the units and everything is just so fun for a game from when Clinton was president. What are some good resource so I can learn to get better? [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Feb 2020 11:50 AM PST Hey my dudes, is it worth getting into SC2 nowadays, I am a big League of Legends player but I want to start playing SC2 as I like Strategy games a lot, is it worth? Do I have to be a 6 hour training Korean doing 100 moves per second to have fun or can I be a casual player in low elo like in League and still have fun? My PC is currently broken but when my new one arrive I was thinking of playing SC2 instead of only playing League of Legends. What do you guys think? btw I love Zergs [link] [comments]

SC2 Beginner searching for friends and other beginners Posted: 09 Feb 2020 11:34 AM PST Hello at all, I'm watching SC2 for quite a few weeks and started yesterday my journey with this beautiful game. No one from my RL friends are playing SC2, so I'm searching EU Starcraft Buddies who can maybe help with my game and want to write about the game and doing smalltalk and stuff like that. Would be great to find some people :) Hope it's ok to make a post like this, if not please delete it. [link] [comments]

How to find casters for ESL Open Cups? Posted: 09 Feb 2020 02:07 PM PST I caught ZombieGrub casting the Asia cup but only because I noticed it while I was online last night. I'd like to catch the vods of the finals for EU, is there a place where they list who's casting what? My only complaints about these cups are that the casting seems like a free-for-all with whomever feels like casting it that night, and which matches they can get into... Would be nice to have a structure to it somehow so I can know where to tune in regularly. Even if it meant someone noting who casted what with vod timestamps. It would be nice if SC2Links had them listed. [link] [comments]

SC2: Is there any way to make the custom game map list load faster when in offline mode? Posted: 09 Feb 2020 04:07 PM PST Hello, there are many days where I have breaks that I would like to play 1v1s against AI in SC2 in but I have poor internet connection (so I am playing in offline mode) and it takes a long time for the maps to appear in the custom games list. Even when the map I want to play on does appear, I cannot create a lobby until every map is listed. By the time I get into the game, I barely have any time to play. Is there any way to get into a game faster? (could it be config settings, replays, saving maps into a folder, etc.?) [link] [comments]

PC Specs Question, upgrade old 2011 PC worth it? Posted: 09 Feb 2020 07:59 PM PST Hello beautiful people, I recently got back into Starcraft after a long hiatus (2014) after the flu put me down for two weeks and a delirious youtube search brought me to recent sc2 esport games. I've checked in on the scene from time to time and am currently loving being back playing some 1v1s and watching my favorite casting duo Tastosis. (Also loved Day 9's holiday twitch stream) My question is regarding my gaming "rig." Currently I'm using my work laptop as it's my only functioning computer. However, I found my old computer I purchased in 2011. I reformatted it and it is more powerful than the work laptop (which only runs smoothly on low). I don't plan to play any other games other than starcraft and will use the desktop for Microsoft office/work stuff as well as starcraft. I want to know if I can stick with my old desktop and if there is anything, I could upgrade to maximize my performance. Keep in mind I'm on a budget and wouldn't want to spend more than $60-$80 upgrading. I think my main weak point in my current build is the RAM, but please tell me where StarCraft is demanding and if it would be worth it to put more RAM in this old PC or do some other upgrade. (For example, they say it's processor heavy and doesn't benefit from multi-core processors, I don't even know how many cores my processor has) Specs: Intel Pentium CPU G3240 @ 3.10GHZ Ram: 4GB w/ 1 slot open Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT730 Hard Drive: 128 G SSD, 1TB Standard HD Power Supply: Something Beefy Also if anyone has an actual link to recommended RAM if that's the path that's decided I'd love to hear what you guys like. Looking for Starcraft installer from the pre v1.18 era in other languages than English Posted: 09 Feb 2020 01:58 PM PST I'd like to play my SC1 single player archive on a version which was released before version 1.18, or in other words: no battle.net app attached, no ad for that remastered version attached, no ad for stupid skins attached etc. I found the English version here (ok it is not exactly clean but anyway) and now I am looking for the German version which I cannot find anywhere. Has someone a hint where to get the localizations of SC? It is known how to get the pre battle.net app WC3 (v1.27c) as shown in this thread. Maybe someone found out how to alter the URL to get SC?
