Posted: 17 May 2020 01:48 PM PDT I just wanted to post my appreciation for how fantastic this event has been today. Not only have all the games had so much drama and twists but also it was great to see Day9 and Rotti casting again. It really takes me back to WoL days with all the excitement. I'm sure lots of you are feeling the same way. What are all your highlights from today? [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 May 2020 01:32 AM PDT I've been playing and watching Starcraft 2 pretty much since it came out 10 years ago without much breaks. I'd like to think that, after a decade, I know all there is to know about how the game works. Despite my current knowledge, I had some wrong misconceptions about the game for the longest time. This thread is a way to laugh at ourselves over the stupid stuff we believed for years. Here's an exemple: I found out in LotV that you don't need a spire to build vipers once you have a hive. (this was after reaching master with zerg in HotS). My reasoning was simple: "spire is for flying units, vipers fly, I need a spire". Another exemple: I found out that a-moving SCVs with auto-repair on will repair any unit and buildings along the way. This is a game-changer when playing mech and I see so few pros doing it. What other stupid crap did you believe for the longest time? The dumber the better obviously. People might even learn a thing or two from your past mistakes! [link] [comments]
I'd like to start watching competitive Starcraft 2 matchs. Where do I go to watch? Posted: 17 May 2020 04:35 PM PDT I'm not a huge player of SC2, but I really enjoy watching the pros go at it. I find it easier to follow and more entertaining to watch than other games online. I'm preferred to watch matches with a commentator(s) with pro players who are fighting it out to secure a spot at Blizzcon. Is any of these matches going on right now or is it too soon in the year? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 May 2020 04:37 PM PDT Hello there, my name is Koali, and I am a member of the admin team for Team UnRivaled, and former admin for The Chobo Team League (CTL). We are currently looking for active SC2 players across all leagues to join to compete in clan wars and leagues for all skill levels! We are a storied clan, originally created to compete in the CTL. The CTL is a proleague styled teamleague in which teams play each other each week in sets separated by leagues. The top teams at the end of the season advanced to the post-season. Since TeamUR joined the league in Season 2, we have been the most successful team over the history of the league, including winning the most recent championship! For more information about the Chobo Team League, click here! The next season of the CTL is right around the corner so now is a perfect time to hop on board. TeamUR is also active in the Validity Team League (VTL) an are all kill league, 4v4; VTL uses a set distribution of Platinum-Platinum-Diamond 2/3-Diamond. If you are looking to join some structured competition but aren't yet at the high master/GM level, then TeamUR is the place for you. Why join Team UnRivaled? We're a closely knit and welcoming group of people. The team discord is a great place to hang out and chat. Most of us are also involved in other games, and are always up for talking about games, sports, or even just life in general. As a smaller team with an application process, you can easily form great relationships with everyone, and become part of the Team UnRivaled family. If you are interested in joining, please fill out this form, it's only 10 short questions. After reviewing your application, an admin will reach out to you, most likely on Discord, in order to set up a tryout. Generally, you'll play a few games of StarCraft, and we'll chat about the games and yourself a bit. It's all just to make sure you're a good fit for us, and that we're a great fit for you. Having a microphone is a huge plus. If you have any questions or want to chat, you can respond to this post, or you can PM me on Discord Koali#8154, and I'll be more than happy to talk.
