Clem is an amazing player, and he showed that in Nation Wars. I am excited to see how he does in 2020.

My husband’s keyboard is loud! Help!

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 05:20 PM PST

My husband's APM while playing Starcraft II is something stupid and he plays with hotkeys. He has a "tactile but silent" gaming keyboard for his setup but it's anything but silent! I don't see him getting rid of the keyboard any time soon as he brings it with him on every trip we go on, but the sound is worse than a typewriter!

Can someone recommend some good (and cute?) noise canceling headphones for me so I can have a little bit of quiet during matches?!

When can we start calling Serral the first true Bonjwa of SC2?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 04:11 PM PST

There have been some fantastic players throughout the history of Starcraft 2. From MVP to Life, from DonRaeGu to Taeja, but never has a player seemed as imperious, as well rounded, or as dominant as Serral. Maru and Innovation at their peaks are the only legitimate contenders I can think of for the title of Bonjwa, other than Serral. Their reigns were almost as long as Serral's, but their dominance has never been as consistent. In 2018 Serral went on a winning streak of something in the region of 40 Best-of-series, versus the best in the world. His alltime winrate is 70%, and his current winrate is around 80%.

In my eyes Serral is the greatest Starcraft 2 player in the history of this game, and I think that he beats pretty much any other player at their peak (even Maru), but I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks.

Exchange between Rotti and Tod about Serral. I'm surprised no one clipped it already.

I really wish they would fully reset your MMR if you didnt play for a while

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 10:25 AM PST

Ive played the game on and off for maybe 7 years now, playing all races and reach platinum league with all of them at some point. Every time ive taken a break from the game, coming back has been an incredibly frustrating experience and one of the main reasons why ive actually played all races. The problem for me is that MMR decay is way too slow! If i take a break of a full year, the game still expects me to come back fully at the same level as when i left. Sure, i can play the hardest AI for 10 games but that thing is not exactly hard to win if you know at all what you are doing. But players are a whole different story.

This is a hard game, and it took me over 250 games of each race to get to plat on them. Now if i want to play any of those races, I will need to play tens of games against opponents i have absolutely no chance of beating. This experience is incredibly frustrating as with the amount I can play per day means that for the first two weeks or so Ill just be taking a beating after beating after beating. Am I crazy here or isnt this a huge deterrent for returning players other than me?

    Mouse recommendations?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 04:34 PM PST

I know this isn't Starcraft specific, but wondering if anyone has a good recommendation. Looking to spend under $50. Right now using an Apple Magic Mouse playing SC2 on my MacBook. It's as bad as it sounds. Thanks!

    Building Animation Question

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 05:30 PM PST

I just had one question. Who else wants the troops to actually come out of the buildings when build? I know that is a tiny improvement that I would like in the game.
