In response to PartinG vs Nina during Shyrshadi Open #30

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 04:15 PM PDT

The interaction between Nina and PartinG during their series for Shyrshadi Open #30 truly saddens me. Players are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner while participating in the Open, whether the series is casted or not. In a previous Open, both players were issued verbal warnings regarding unprofessional behavior in the form of exchanged words in the game during an extended pause taken by Nina in one of their games. Nina's outburst in last night's game vs PartinG is both unprofessional and unacceptable. In response to the situation, I have decided the following:

As a result of her actions, Nina will receive a 2 week ban from the Shyrshadi Open.

Both players will once again be asked to treat each other with the respect both of them deserve as pro players in an attempt to prevent future incidents.

Further, PartinG will be asked to refrain from derogatory remarks directed toward his opponents in future Shyrshadi Opens.

The Shyrshadi Open is a tournament that strives to create a fun environment in a professional setting to produce the best experience possible for both players and viewers. It is my hope that we as a community can grow from this, realizing that while we can't always control our circumstances, we can control how we respond within them.

    Mad Props to Creighton Olsen

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 10:03 AM PDT

Started watching pro sc2 games again recently and have to say I am really enjoying Creighton Olsen's commentary. Beyond the substance of what he is saying, I like his thought process and his speaking is extremely clear with great pacing. Should be announcing more games IMHO. Thank you Creighton!

I've just finished updating my Race-Swapped Campaigns (WoL: Protoss Edition and the rest)

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 08:32 PM PDT

It's been a while since my last update. I've been working hard this past month to update my campaigns. The most noticeable improvements are map launchers, in-game choosing UIs, map-to-map loading and a new git gud Normal difficulty. That, and a lot of polishing, bugfixing and tweaking. The maps have never been better.

Now I'll go back to working on a new project: the protoss version of Nova Covert Ops.

I know I mention this every post, but making these campaigns takes a lot of time, so I'm taking donations over on Patreon. Several people have already pledged and I'm incredibly grateful for their support. Even becoming a patron for $1 a month helps.

    Support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/SynergySC2

Also, I'm very active on Discord; you can find me there every day to ask questions, make suggestions or just join a nice community.

    Check it out: https://discord.gg/nERryx9

My campaigns (all free to play on the Campaign section in all 3 regions) (the launchers are on the Campaign section):

Any particular reason there's not usually a GSL game thread stickied?

Watching him and ZombieGrub casting the Marinelord vs Geralt series is so damned entertaining (also: where TF did Geralt come from? Beating the likes of Elazer and Lambo easily)...

Reminder: GSL and ASL both continue this weekend!

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 07:34 AM PDT

Just a friendly reminder that GSL and ASL both continue this weekend.

GSL will happen tomorrow, Saturday the 12th of September from 04:00 UTC. The games will be broadcasted on YouTube and AfreecaTV, with streams in languages other than English listed on Liquipedia.

Tomorrow's games will see Group Stage #1 continue with Group E of INNOVATION, HURRICANE, ZOUN and SOO!

    -----

ASL will ALSO continue tomorrow, Saturday the 12th of September, from 10:00 UTC AND on Sunday, the 13th of September, from 10:00 UTC. As with the GSL, the broadcast will be happening on YouTube (no link yet, will add when it is available) and AfreecaTV, with streams in languages other than English listed on Liquipedia.

Saturday will see Group Stage #1 continue with Group B of SNOW, YOON, SOULKEY and SSAK playing!

On Sunday it's the turn of Group C of LARVA, NOOB, STORK and RUSH!

    -----

I'll make sure there will be match threads for all three broadcasts, though only the ASL threads will have live updates to their scoreboards because the GSL broadcast happens at a time I will be asleep.

Get hype and enjoy this weekend in professional Starcraft!

Are the Nexus "probe caps" in co-op mode maximums or efficiency?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2020 04:51 PM PDT

I've heard that while in Versus mode, the probes can be stacked past the "limit." The red text simply indicates less efficiency. However, I've heard that in co-op, it's the actual true maximum. Building past 21 probes wouldn't do anything at all. Is this actually the case? If so, I've been playing co-op very VERY wrong.
