How pro players actually perform on average at every stage of every tournament since 2018 Posted: 30 Mar 2020 08:47 PM PDT https://i.imgur.com/J0xCglb.png This shows how likely a race is to advance from one round into the next for all tournaments since 2018 (from Aligulac's database). How to read the chart: If a race's representation goes up from one round to the next, then that race was favored to advance over the other two races due to a higher win-rate. Likewise if a race is disadvantaged then their number goes down due to lower win-rate and being knocked out of the tournament as a product of the lower win-rate. The more horizontal the line is, the more balanced the race - the more vertical, the more imbalanced. Example #1: Zerg representation increases from 5% to 50% -> Zerg is imbalanced with a massive win-rate advantage. Example #2: Zerg representation decreases from 36% to 34% -> Zerg is slightly disadvantaged with a small win-rate deficit. How not to read the chart: X race has fewer # of players than Y race - Y race is imba! The # of players has no meaning because it has no relation to win-rates: the difference in # of players from round to round does have a relation to win-rates because people with low win-rates are knocked out while those with high win-rates are the ones to advance! Why this chart is useful: breaking down balance on a per-round basis is a more fine-grained analysis than looking at tournaments/win-rates as a whole. We can see how balance shifts with skill, for example, and being able to filter skill allows us to more accurately measure balance. Credit to a guy from the Battle.net forums for posting this. WardiTV We Sold Out Tournament Information and Match Discussion Thread 30th March 2020 Posted: 30 Mar 2020 11:34 AM PDT Hello all, Apologies for not posting this earlier. I had intended to before I got sidetracked by a personal obligation. Nevertheless! We would like to first of all, give attention to a very cool starcraft tournament happening right now hosted by Wardi TV. Especially at trying times like these, it is nice to have things like this to bring us just a little bit of joy and excitement into our daily lives. It is currently running live with its Group B section of the day. Here is the link to the twitch stream: Here is the Link to the liquipedia page: https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/WardiTV_We_Sold_Out Pretty cool stuff! We will be hosting a a new live discussion thread for Wardii's tournament on /r/starcraft, with every new tournament day. This thread is sparse as far as the tournament info goes for now because I wanted to get it up ASAP since the tournament is now live. I will be adding more info on the tournament structure in the threads moving forward. [link] [comments]

Question about COOP first game long loading time Posted: 31 Mar 2020 01:32 AM PDT With the Commanders being free to play, I have increased my playing of SC2 Coop. However, I notice that the first game tends to always take a long time to load, and often even after the loading screen it simply returns me to the main menu saying:" game failed to load" I have experimented, if playing with a friend, my commander would leave the game upon the mission started. Sometimes it is so bad that I am still in the coop loading screen when the games start, and the system says I left the game. Any idea what is causing this issue and how to reduce it? Posted: 31 Mar 2020 12:49 AM PDT Hey guys, how do high level players split their Marines so fast? Is it just accurate boxing? Sometimes it looks like they use the patrol command to let them split a bit and than attack, is this true? Or are there any other tricks? [link] [comments]
