    IEM Qualifiers may be open, but still have a lot of fight to do! The second round of Open Cups begins in just 6 hours!

    Important information for all competitors:

    FORMAT:

    • Early rounds until Ro4 are Bo3;
    • Finals are Bo5.

    COVERAGE

    You can find an extensive list of casters that will cover the ESL Open Cups on the following url: https://play.eslgaming.com/starcraft/global/coverage

    Quick Rules:

    • Be at least 20 minutes early to sign up for the tournament.
    • Join ESL chat channel on the respective server so you can find your opponents for the games.

    NOTE: You just have to type this on the chatbox: "*/join ESL *". That is it, no event chat channel, nothing, only the regular ESL chat channel.

    The plots between Starcraft 1 and Warcraft 3 are pretty similar, and I've always found the role played by the Protoss/Night Elves to be annoying because they're facing various degrees of annihilation, but they're too haughty and bigoted to get out of their own way.

    With that in mind, I was replaying the Starcraft 2 campaign, and I really liked how Legacy of the Void was able to skip pointless infighting and go straight to assembling all the various Protoss factions that had been spurned over thousands of years.

    It was also fun to include Rohana as the representative of the old judgmental caste system. It was hilarious that every conversation with her boiled down to "You're teaming up with X? But they're heretical savages!" and Artanis responding, "Stopping the world from ending is more important so shut up."

    In general Starcraft 2 did a much better job of quickly justifiably why you were doing a mission. I swear, half the missions is Warcraft 3 are instigated by pointless misunderstandings.

    Are there any paperback Starcraft comics that follow Nova, Reynor or Kerrigan (pre-infested)?

    I know of the one series of the group that is sent out to hunt down Raynor, but I was hoping something with Raynor as the hero / main character.......or Nova.....or Kerrigan. Any help by chance? Preferably in a collection / volume / giant format if possible, but Ill do single issues if need be. Thanks!

    Edit: I see that I misspelled Raynor in the title. Not looking for a comic follow the Zerg player lol

    Just some suss activity I found. I already went over this on my stream but at 3:35- 3:36 in slow mo he actually move commands and a moves BEFORE he sees my reaper/hellion with no prior scouting. I was told this guy hacked in beginning of lotv but i never bought it cause he streams. Could be coincidence or very lucky. Rather have some fresh eyes on it.

    Please watch this on .25x speed and you'll see at 3:36 he move commands and a moves before he ever saw my hellions. HE even moves his camera down too! Also look at the minimap NO PRIOR scouting on my side of the map

    Does anybody play better after 'a few' drinks?

    I feel like I do.

    Like,not drunk enough to be wild or say crazy shit or anything. I mean like after say a quarter of a quarter of a 70cl bottle, that hits the right spot where the alcohol kicks in but ur basically completely sober, but it also gives u lazer focus.

    I have a replay against a masters smurf and im dia2 and had drank that much but honestly played like a masters player and beat him lol because i was in that 'sweet spot' drink zone.

    I know in NA there isnt a massive drinking culture like the UK but I wonder if anybody else experiences this? Like it makes you just more in tune with whats happening and bolder. I was in lib zones and his banes came in and i instantly picked up instead of trying to split. It's like having a sixth sense and hightened awareness.

    I am drunk now from like 20beers,which is a dull drunk compared to spirits but like only a tiny bit gives u more decisive actions than being completely sober. I really believe this as well.

    Is there a secret song from Wings of Liberty?

    I took a moment to just listen while I was playing through campaign recently, nothing really to do but get SCV production up at the time and I loved this nice acoustic rock song that was playing, had a real country tang to it, later I went to go look it up and it wasn't on the WoL OST and I didn't listen to them in their entirety but none of the Terran themes sounded like a match either. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

    Anyone have the clip of a pro player accidentally a clicking his own base with tanks?

    I can't remember who the players were, but the guy a clicks his own base with like 10 siege tanks by accident in a pro match. Anyone know the match or have the clip?

    Does anyone else miss the older maps? With the cool backgrounds and being on space platforms and stuff like that? Also the little critters that use to be everywhere and now are a rare occurrence. I really miss the older maps when they had a bit more depth.
