    Q. Did you check zealot first opening vs Free with SCV scout?

    I don't miss stuff like that.

    Q. Why he decided to do a timing attack

    Saw free's adun with dropship. Because of this, I knew there wasn't any possibility of Reaver tech. Since I already got complete map vision with mines, skipped even getting siege mode.

    Held making up to 5 facts until latest time possible. I had easy time getting 3rd due to mines. I also thought I was not disadvantaged at all at that point, but when I checked replay, i was a bit behind.

    There were mines at Free's 3rd, and thanks to that, I was able to get good engagement when attacked with timing.

    It didn't matter even if it was blocked. To block that attack I did, Free was forced to put all his focus into macro and fighting, while I was able to tech up while pushing out and keeping up macro at the same time.

    I baited out and forced out the multi-tasking battle.

    <G1 vs Snow>

    I didn't know Snow would be so greedy in PvP with 1gate FE when it was against random me.

    I was bit stumped there. My original plan was to do ninja expo with speed shuttle. If i didnt find out him going FE at natural, even if my ninja base was operation, I would not be in good position.

    From this point, I began to have upper hand, and began to do fake out so that I prevent opponent from finding out my natural timing.

    To hide fact that I skipped dragoon range, I avoided attacking with dragoons as well

    As soon as I saw Snow's nexus first, I thought "this guy is freaking crazy". I felt like he sucker punched me. But my unit control was really good today. So I won.

    Clem and TY both defeated in the semi-finals.

    What are the infested?

    This is a lore question so I'm not sure if this is the right sub for it, but my friend and I were talking today and realized the infested are poorly explained as to what they are. It seems like they're a disease, but to what extent? Does it puppet the units from the inside physically or is it a mental psionic thing? If its mental, why are there tentacles coming out of the infested? Why can it infest structures? Does a structure getting infested mean anything or is it just goop over it? I know in Stukov's case in Co Op it gives them legs. Is infestation biomass the same as creep? Are infested sentient? Stukov and Kerrigan both are but they're clearly special cases. Does the infestation destroy the brain or just highjack it? In mission they're introduced, the first infested you encounter asks you to kill it, but other than that, the only thing infested every say is "for the swarm". What is the difference between neural parasite and infestation? Also are infested zombies? Like are they dead people brought back to life?

    I know im probably reading too far into this, but I don't care. I enjoy the StarCraft setting and want to learn more and figured some of you mega nerds might have some thoughts on this. Thanks for the help!

    i honestly don't think we will just given how easy scouting is as well as pretty much all openings being "is it macro or are they cheesing?" and this determined almost instantly upon scouting.

    there's nothing really to gain and a lot to lose in a player having to use a race their less skilled with. but maybe i'm wrong.

    unorthodox base layouts?

    generally all maps have one of 3 layouts:

    1. 8 blue mineral fields + 2 green gases
    2. 6 gold minerals + 1 green gas
    3. 8 blue minerals + 1 purple gas

    there are exceptions (deathaura), but not common. Also resources are usually placed along one or two sides. I wonder why is the case? Are rules of TLMC forbid (or at least discourage) different base layouts? Or are they so unpopular that they never get approval? It could be interesting to see for example far away base with no minerals and 3-4 gases or bases with mixed gold and blue minerals etc...
