    Drifted off in the last few years, catching the odd game. However since working from home, by chance caught the GSL live and now am completely re-hooked, watching it live whenever it's on. Am now also sucked into the the DH Masters Summer, such high quality games and casting. It's a bit cheesy to say, but it's genuinely more exciting than any sports I follow. I caught myself shouting at the monitor earlier when Mana nearly lost a prism to one lone marine on the map. Mad, 10 years on and it's better than ever.

    July 27, 2010 will mark the day StarCraft II has been out for a whole decade! I'm definitely not holding my breath given recent Actiblizzard, but I am hoping they do something neat to celebrate. I'd even be pretty excited about some new merch. What do you think?

    I've made it to Diamond 3 on SC2 without ever looking online for build orders, but I can't seem to break past an mmr of about 3200. Does climbing the ladder require following strategies that have been optimized by other people?

    I feel like having other people tell me the timing and order of things defeats the purpose of a strategy game (I feel like it's lazy of me to do that), but at the same time everyone at diamond 3 seems to be so much better than people at platinum 1. Is it give in to memorizing builds or give up climbing??

    Sub to Afreeca, watch the group stage VODs ez, but I can't seem to find a place to find the ESL VODs. ESL archive? Are they in order? There are 240 videos for DH summer on the playlist and they just keep going back and forth from group A to group B. How is this tournament set up again?

    I know it probably won't happen, but from what I see on their twitters they are both still in Korea.

    And I know they are mostly known for PL/SSL, but that is still part of SC2 history, and they did a bit of GSL also.

    TIL Tasteless has a Nobel prize in mirrors

    For his postgraduate work on the so-called „changing room problem", Tasteless was awarded the Nobel prize in mirrors in 2020. The changing room problem is a Paradoxon in tatto science, where a back tatto looked at by its wearer through two mirrors appears non-inverted. This leads to a superposition of two states, where the art is for them, but also not for them.

    Shortly after his discovery, a group scientists tried to hide his discovery behind a paywall, but were thwarted by Tasteless' muse and long time bodyguard Artosis.
