The enemy has placed mines all around the field to stop you from collecting valuable resources. These traps are difficult to kill, so move with care but intent.

    Map: Part & Parcel

    Slim Pickings
Player worker units gather resources at a reduced rate, but resource pickups spawn throughout the map.
    Minesweeper
Groups of Widow Mines and Spider Mines are buried throughout the battlefield.

    Video Replays on Brutal:

    Player 1                                   Player 2
    [CtG (Swann)] Ancalagon (Vorazun)
    [CtG (Alarak)] Ancalagon (Kerrigan)
    [CtG (Stetmann)] Iswald (Fenix)
[CtG (Han and Horner)] Iswald (Stukov)
    [CtG (Zeratul)] Ancalagon (Karax)

    Notes:

    • Workers gather 1 resource per trip on Brutal difficulty.

    • Spidermines have 25HP, deal 250 damage each, and do not respawn upon detonation.
    • Air units can pick up the parts, but not the resource pickups.

Introducing the Inaugural GSL Pick-em competition! (Round of 24)

    Posted: 06 Apr 2020 06:49 AM PDT

Are you a self proclaimed Twitch chat GM?

Do you know the pro-scene better than the rest of r/Starcraft?

Now is the time to put this to the test!

I am introducing to everyone today the first of what I am hoping to become a regular occurrence of the GSL regular season pick-em competition! Well what is a Pick-em competition i hear you ask?

A Pick-em competition is where the viewers predict the outcome of a event in order to gain points to win awesome prizes and most important of all internet bragging rights! Those of you that follow the CSGO pro scene may be familiar with this as this is commonly done during their Major events and is most likely done in other eSport scenes as well but as I don't follow any others that closely I cant say for sure.

    How to Enter

Simply click on this link the the Google Form (https://forms.gle/XXFUovXcuBqHm8dZ7) and fill out everything on it. Please remember how you have typed in your Reddit account on the first part of the form as you will need to enter it again for the rounds of 16 & the final knockout stage)

    Rules

    • The rule for this Pick-em are quite simple for each group in the round of 24 you need to choose who is going to finish in each place in the group, its really that easy.
    • Because I haven't had time to sort out the Google Form being used t add validation you can unfortunately place the same player in each of the 4 spots for their group which I will allow for the round of 24 but any person who thinks they are making a 400iq play I am going to be halving any points earned by this method(points are explained in a minute)
    • For a bit of added spice you also need to pick 1 player who will not drop a single map in the Round of 24 and a single player that will not win a map in the round of 24.
    • All entries must be placed before the first game of Group A starts otherwise your entry for the round of 24 will be void!

    Points Mean Prizes!

You earn points through 2 different methods in the Round of 24:

    1. Picking a player to finish in the correct place in their group (3 Points)
    2. Picking a player to qualify/not qualify for the Round of 16 (1 Point)
    3. Picking a player to not lose/win a map in the Round of 24 (5 Points)

The total amount of points that can be earned in each round are as follows:

    Round Points Available
    24 82
    16 58
Final 8 Still working it out!

    Example of Points breakdown:

To make things a bit clearer with how points are calculated here is an example of my predictions and a random outcome and how many points I would earn for Group A:

Predicted Actual (this is made up results) Points
    sOs (1st) sOs (1st) 3 Points
    Bunny (2nd) SoO (2nd) 0 Points
    SoO (3rd) TRUE (3rd) 1 Point
    TRUE (4th) Bunny (4th) 0 Points

    Prizes!

The prizes may change as the competition goes on as I want to do this as a bit of fun but prizes make everything better!

1st Place Overall Zergling Plushie delivered to your door & War Chest Bundle of your choosing!
2nd Place Overall Zergling Plushie delivered to your door!
    3rd Place Overall 1 SC2 Announcer or co-op Commander
Top scorer in each round 1 SC2 Announcer or co-op Commander

In the result in a tie all players will receive a prize so can we please not all score the same or else my my bank balance might suffer!

I am going to try and get in contact with the mods at some point to so if there is some additional prizes I can provide such as special user flairs for ultimate bragging rights.

Last but not least GLHF and Happy Picking!

Which is your favourite race and why?

    Posted: 06 Apr 2020 10:36 AM PDT

Hey all. Saw a Starcraft post and it gave me a wave of nostalgia. I've only played the original, brood war and wings of liberty.

I think my favourite would be Protoss, but that might change once I play the other expansions and go through the story again.
