    Underrepresentation of Starcraft in Beta launcher

    Hello everyone,

    I was made aware of this in the current episode of the pylon show, and I had to check for myself if it was true.

    As of now, when you use the beta of the blizzard launcher, in the top section where you can coose your games, Starcraft is not shown by default. The only way to select Starcraft Remastered or Starcraft II is to go on that little box, that has no indication what so ever that there could be more games, and then you have to add sc1 and sc2 to your top bar manually.

    I know that I am very emotional about this, but still, this is beyond insulting to everyone who plays the game casually and professionally, and to the hard working people who created theses games as well.It may not have been that big of a deal, if we hadn´t seen a huge underrepresentation of starcraft at blizzcon. Not a single word was lost about sc in the wrap up video, the art gallary had not a single starcraft related artwork there.

    As if Starcraft never existed. As if Starcraft didn´t kick off esports in the west. As if Twitch tv wasn´t made huge due to starcraft.

    And now, when a new player who just installed the blizzard launcher, who has maybe heard of Overwatch, doesn´t even get notice of Starcraft´s existance?

    I am so dissappionted. I know that this isn´t the fault of the Starcraft team which is working so hard to continue the best RTS ever created in the history of RTS.

    But please Activision-Blizzard executives or whoever makes these decisions: There is plenty of room in the upper bar of the launcher. Give EVERY game the representation and acknowledgement it deserves.

    Hei guys,

    Long story short(not really), I really had so much fun as a kid hosting LAN parties at home(not the fancy kind) playing 3v3 or 2v2 with my friends on SC broodwar. Played it for good 3 years. SC2 was out when I first got introduced to broodwar, and only 3 years later (2010) I decided to try it at home. My home PC could barely run first campaign of SC2 on lowest setting, and I never got to play again after all the PCs at home were sold after we moved out.

    Fast forward 2019, Here I am with my SC2 account, barely managed to play 4v4 with A.I. on normal. I won the game from doing Carrier spam (TEAM PROTOSS) because I only recognise units from broodwar, and I lost all my techniques and such from time. One thing that surprised me is my muscle memory for the start of the game is pinky on the B and index on P to build probes, which doesn't apply on SC2.

    I feel like a lot of the things are made simpler on SC2 over its predecessor. Anyways, I hope to learn the SC2 ways and play it with you all. I'm getting my childhood back!

    Feel free to give me advice for someone who never played SC2. I guess playing the campaign should help? Team Protoss here!

    I hope I am not breaking any rules here, as I am also new to reddit, and I still haven't grasped even 10% of what its really about. Sorry about that.

    After you finished Broodwar's campaign, but before SC2 came out, what do you think would happen next in the story after broodwar?

    Yes, so what did you think would be the fate of the remaining (alive) characters (Artanis, Zeratul, Raynor, Kerrigan, Duran, Mengsk, am I missing anyone else)?

    Did you think the war against the zerg would come to Earth? That'd be a bit too much like Mass Effect 3 though, and a bit too far from familiar locations. -Though it would have been interesting to hear Earth's response to the UED being destroyed and this could have resulted in cool missions of evacuating Earth as its being overrun.

    Did you think they would add a new race or two (like they did from wc2 -> wc3)?

    I've decided to try to get better so started a dedicated routine. I do day9s mental checklist while practicing a standard build order and follow the staircase against an A.I. until I get to my goal SQ 5 times in a row.

    After I pass that threshold I go on ranked ladder.

    At this point I usually get a winning streak of about 5 games playing people at my same MMR. After 4 or 5 games I start getting matched with people 200-300 more MMR than me until I lose like 6 times in a row which usually puts me at a lower point than when I started. My match history is literally like 4 wins/5 losses/5 wins/7 losses etc. It's all streaks.

    I can't tell what I'm doing right or wrong if I'm either dominating or getting stomped, especially if I'm literally just only focusing on macro like everyone says you should in the lower leagues.
