    Short stories no longer available?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2020 09:12 AM PST

Replayed LoTV campaign cuzz templars are awesome. Made me want to read Alarak's short story, Ascension, again, but the old links don't work and i cant find it in blizz's starcraft site. Anyone knows if it's still available somewhere? Some of those short stories were really nice.

Nonsmurf Noob To Masters: what it really takes to beat platinum league?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2020 10:13 PM PST

Does anyone else play only a few 1v1s here and there, and watches only their wins?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2020 06:37 AM PST

I know it's better for improving to watch my losses and go over why I lost... But I like playing unranked mostly and just watching my winning replays and seeing my opponents perspective seeing what it was like when I beat them.

It feels weird to say... and maybe I'm sick because I like to watch my opponents squirm... but just wanted to know if anyone else does this. :3 :'D

    SC2 Modded Tournaments

    Posted: 07 Mar 2020 03:27 PM PST

I started making mods for sc2 a year ago, and made some simple mods that changed gameplay significantly while leaving the game as a melee game. I started making those tournaments only for my Clan, but I decided to expand this to a larger community in order to find more people that like these kind of tournaments and have fun while playing them.

I intend to make tournaments for both my mods and other mods people like (there's a specific link to a form you can fill if you like a specific mod and would like tournaments made with it). If you like making mods, you can also join the community to have those mods played in our tournaments. Just to be clear, this is not an arcade community (pretty sure there's tons of those), most people here enjoy melee games and like to play these just to have fun with weird changes for a bit.

We also need casters for those tournaments in case you like casting and having to adapt on the go to weird scenarios, you can come join us too.

These tournaments are for fun, there's no money involved.

If you're interested in those, come join my discord: https://discord.gg/Gme3fWg

TL;DR: Join my community that organises sc2 modded tournaments (not arcade, these games are still melee and keep part or most of the things of the original game). Discord link is the one above.

Should a new player jump into Starcraft 2 or begin with Starcraft Remastered?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2020 09:04 PM PST

Hi, I'm a very very very casual PC player, but recently I've been trying to get into it a little more. I've been interested in Starcraft for awhile and wanted to give the series a try.

Is it worth it to play Starcraft Remastered, or should I just play Starcraft 2? I know that sounds obvious. But I don't know anything about the original game and how advanced they are between each other. You know GTA is a classic game, but most people don't think you need to play it if you're interested in the series. They might point straight to 3 or even Vice City as the first entry to try.

I am interested in the lore, so I considered getting Remastered of the top, but if it's not necessary or possibly not a good game(that's not a criticism, I just don't know), then maybe I can skip it. I had never played any of the Diablo games when I played Diablo 3, but I understood fine and really enjoyed it.

I'm not sure I've even played a game like Starcraft before, but I'm really interested in trying it out. Thanks for the advice, in advance.

Is there a plan for more premium arcade content?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2020 08:36 PM PST

So, there's currently two games on the arcade that have premium content. And I'm wondering if there's any known plan to make more, or if that's simply something up to the fans?
