Streamer Wintrades his last 3 games to get GM MMR Posted: 20 Nov 2019 08:52 PM PST The twitch streamer Gosu_PvP just win traded his last 3 wins to get gm Mmr right before the ladder locked. Not saying this is against tos of twitch (he did it on stream) or blizzard, it just feels kind of shady to do. Not to mention this is a player on Root gaming, arguably the biggest team in the foreigner Sc2 scene at this point. When confronted about it he deleted the clips I've made ( and made his vods subscriber only) So here are some screenshots from his match history. https://imgur.com/a/qCK8FSI Context: Maplez (grandmaster protoss) shows up in his chat and starts talking 2-3 minutes pass He queues for a game and ends up against the player <Maplez> Maplez (currently 5790 mmr at the time of making the post) Maplez attempts a cannon rush but fails miserably, losing both probes, gg's out +23 mmr Pvp waits some time then queues again, into Maplez who also took a short break while talking in chat before queueing This time the cannon rush is successful, <Root> PvP loses all his probes and there are cannons in his mineral line, but doesn't leave Maplez says "gg?" then leaves the game https://imgur.com/a/bqifdee +23 mmr In chat Maplez says "go again?" and PvP agrees. They both queue (you can see Maplez queue on pvp's friends list) PvP hits an unranked 5100 mmr Player and wins with an all in After the game Maplez and Pvp talk via the stream again and queue into one another Same as game 2, they talk and once Maplez has actually won the game, he leaves. Giving PvP the win and another +23 mmr PvP checks his mmr and stops playing on that account after realizing that his mmr is just barely enough to get him the end of season GM border. If it wasn't for this 69 mmr boost from his friend Pvp would still be 50 mmr below the lowest mmr player in grandmaster. As I said at the start, this isn't against Tos of twitch or Starcraft to my knowledge. But I certainly see this as something that will lessen the accomplishment that others have made by legitimately making grandmaster. And in my eyes no different than being boosted. Not only this but coming from one of the biggest teams in Sc2 outside of Korea, this is pretty absurd. Tl;Dr Streamer/Root Player, got boosted so he can have a GM border and GM finish at the end of the season.
